Trekking in the Northern Carpathians – Easy&Moderate Trails 5 Days

This trip will take us to 3 different National Parks in the northern part of the Carpathian Mountains where we will hike a series of easy trails. This prolonged weekend is suitable for those who love nature but are less experienced in hiking.

We will be accommodated in the High Tatras (northern Slovakia).
Day 1 – arrival, visit of the observatory Lomnicky peak (2632 meters above sea level) by cable car, welcome dinner
Day 2 – hike in the Slovak Paradise National Park, visit of Dobsinska ice cave (enlisted on UNESCO world heritage list), folklore performance in the evening. Cumulative elevation gain 771 meters
Day 3 – hike in the High Tatras National Park. Round trip from Hrebienok to High Tatra waterfalls and Zamkovsky mountain cottage (1475 meters above sea level). Cumulative elevation gain 539 meters
Day 4  – hike in the National Park Small Fatra, followed by a visit of the outdoor museum of Slovak the village in Vlkolinec (enlisted on UNESCO world heritage list), farewell dinner. Cumulative elevation gain 1035 meters
Day 5 – departure

Trekking in the Northern Carpathians - Easy&Moderate Trails 9 Days

We will hike through picturesque easy and moderate trails in 3 National Parks and several Natural Protected Areas. This 9-days trip is suitable for outdoor enthusiasts who are less experienced in hiking.

We will be accommodated in the High Tatras (northern Slovakia).
Day 1 – arrival, visit of the observatory Lomnicky peak (2632 meters above sea level) by cable car, welcome dinner
Day 2 – hike in the Slovak Paradise National Park, visit of Dobsinska ice cave (enlisted on UNESCO world heritage list), folklore performance in the evening. Cumulative elevation gain 771 meters
Day 3 and 4 – hike in the High Tatras National Park with overnight in a mountain cottage
Day 5 – hike in the western Tatras along the Slovak and Polish border. We will reach the peak Volovec and return through the round trail. Cumulative elevation gain 1038 meters
Day 6 – on this day we will recharge our batteries and will mostly relax. We will visit a tree top walk structure and afterward spend some relaxing moments in the thermal spa Besenova. In the evening we will have a degustation of Slovak wines.
Day 7 – hike in the National Park Small Fatra, followed by a visit of the outdoor museum of the Slovak village in Vlkolinec (enlisted on UNESCO world heritage list). Cumulative elevation gain 1035 meters
Day 8 – We will finish the trekking week by hiking the most popular trail in the High Tatras NP that will lead us to the peak Rysy (2500 meters) with gorgeous views on the largest mountain lake in the Tatras located on the Polish side of the mountains. We can opt to stop for a refresh at the highest located mountain cottage of the Carpathian mountain range. Farewell dinner in the evening. Cumulative elevation gain 1459 meters

Trekking in the Northern Carpathians – for Experienced Hikers 6 Days

This trekking trip for experienced hikers is full of beautiful views, wildlife, and epic hikes on the best mountain trails in Slovak National parks. We will explore the highest peak of the Carpathian Mountain range (Gerlach 2655 meters) in the High Tatras NP, meandering rivers in the Slovak Paradise National Park or great views in the Western Tatras near the Slovak-Polish mountain borders.

This trip is suitable for experienced hikers. Good physical fitness is needed. We will be accommodated in High Tatras in northern Slovakia.
 Day 1 – arrival, visit of observatory on Lomnicky peak (2632 meters above sea level) by cable car, welcome dinner
Day 2 – We will warm up by an easy hike in the Slovak Paradise National Park, followed by a visit of Dobsinska ice cave (enlisted on the UNESCO world heritage list). Folklore performance in the evening. Cumulative elevation gain 771 meters

Enjoy the most amazing trails of the Carpathian Mountain range. This is an ultimate trekking adventure that gives you an opportunity to explore the beautiful nature, wildlife, epic hikes on the trails in National parks and Natural Protected Areas. We will explore the highest peak of the Carpathian Mountain range (Gerlach 2655 meters) with amazing views, meandering rivers in the Slovak Paradise National Park, National Park Small Fatra or Western Tatras.

Active Summer in the Mountains 10 days

Maximize your vacation in the Carpathian Mountains. This fast-paced trip full of adventure and exciting outdoor activities will leave you with lifetime memories. In 10 days, you will experience more adventures than most people do in a decade.

We will be accommodated in the High Tatras (northern Slovakia).
Day 1 – arrival, visit of the observatory Lomnicky peak (2632 meters above sea level) by cable car, welcome dinner
Day 2 – easy hike in the Slovak Paradise National Park with gorgeous views alongside meandering Hornad river, visit of Dobsinska ice cave (enlisted on the UNESCO world heritage list), visit of Spis castle (enlisted on the UNESCO world heritage list)
Day 3 – Outdoor rock-climbing in the National Park Small Fatra. Visit of the outdoor museum of the Slovak village in Vlkolinec (enlisted on the UNESCO world heritage list). Folklore performance in the evening.
Day 4 – we will continue our adventure in the Carpathian Mountains by rafting the river Bela. After the rafting we will go for an herb walk and pick seasonal herbs. The guide will give us a lecture about the benefits of wild growing herbs and mountain flora.
We will finish our day by a tree-top walk in the High Tatras National Park.
Day 5 – We will continue our mountain experience by hiking the most popular trail in the High Tatras NP that will lead us to the peak Rysy (2500 meters) with gorgeous views on the largest mountain lake in the Tatras located on the Polish side of the mountains. We can opt to stop for a refresh at the highest located mountain cottage of the Carpathian Mountain range.

Day 6 – on this day we will recharge our batteries and relax. There are several ways how to spend time, one of them being visiting the thermal spa Besenova and spending some relaxing moments there.
As an alternative – an optional tour to Krakow is organized (min. 4 participants required).
Day 7 – mountain-bike ride through the most beautiful valley of the Tatras National Park. We will ride bikes on an asphalt road for the most part enjoying views on the surrounding peaks of the Carpathian Mountains.
In the afternoon we will visit in Pribylina – an outdoor museum of typical mountain village.
Day 8 – Horseback riding on the local ranch followed by cooking our own outdoor kettle goulash.
Day 9 – Visit of a family goat farm. We can help with some farm work, including milking goats and taking part in cheese production.
In the afternoon we will continue to a real gem of Carpathian culture – a cozy town of Banska Stiavnica listed on the UNESCO heritage list, a town with a rich mining tradition and picturesque old town. Along the way we will visit another UNESCO heritage site – a historical wooden church from the era of the Habsburg monarchy´s confession wars.

East Meets West

This is an amazing and intense tour of 3 Central European capitals – Prague, Bratislava and Budapest. Each city has its own genius loci and lots of stories to tell. Discover this Central-European treasure land where east and west meet.

We will start our discoveries in golden Prague. This truly fascinating and mystical city has so much to offer that will capture your heart for a lifetime. After Prague we will discover the hidden beauty of the Slovak capital – Bratislava. We will finish this trip in the gorgeous and cosmopolitan Hungarian capital Budapest.
Day 1 – arrival, welcome meeting, guided tour of Prague´s city center with a great local guide. We will explore the largest castle complex in the world – the Prague castle area, followed by Lesser Town, Charles Bridge and Old Town. Welcome dinner and free time in the city (you can opt to spend time on your own or join your tour leader and explore off the beaten track locations).
Day 2 – 1-hour lecture on Czech history, culture, economy and social matters that will help you to better understand the country context.
Guided tour with your tour leader around Old Town and Lesser Town. Lunch in the old town. Free time in the afternoon.
Day 3 – transfer day from Prague to Bratislava.
Visit of the communistic labor camp at Vojna memorial. Guided tour of the world-famous Budweiser brewery in Ceske Budejovice. Lunch in Ceske Budejovice.
Guided tour of the picturesque Cesky Krumlov and free time in Cesky Krumlov (enlisted on the UNESCO world heritage list).
Arrival in Bratislava in evening hours.
Day 4 – guided tour of the old town of Bratislava. Lunch in the old town. Transfer to the Small Carpathian wine region, wine degustation, visit of the château Cerveny Kamen, hands-on experience with blue print decoration technique enlisted on the UNESCO world heritage list.
Return to Bratislava and free time in the old town in the evening.
Day 5 – transfer day from Bratislava to Budapest.
Visit of the 2000-year-old ancient town of Carnuntum which used to be one of the biggest cities in the northern territories of Ancient Rome.
Followed by a visit of Pannonhalma Archabbey, one of the oldest Christian institutions in Central Europe, founded in 996. Lunch at Pannonhalma.
Arrival to Budapest in afternoon hours.
Guided tour of Budapest with local guide. We will explore the Pest site of Budapest, discovering the Jewish district, St. Stephen Basilica, Heroes square and other attractive sites.
Boat ride on Danube River after sunset.
Day 6 – Discovering Budapest with tour leader. Today we will explore the Buda castle, the Hungarian parliament, the shoe memorial and the famous Budapest marketplace.
Free time in the afternoon.
Farewell dinner in the evening followed by a visit of the unique Budapest ruin-bars.

Volunteer & Discover UNESCO Heritage

Spend first 3 days of the tour by volunteering work together with the local community. You will get to contribute to the reconstruction of the medieval castle Uhrovec in central Slovakia. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you will be working, at your own pace, to bring back the cultural and architectonic value of this historical site. We keep safety a priority.

The second part of the week we’ll spend exploring the most attractive UNESCO heritage sites in Slovakia. This small country offers lots of splendid and breathtaking cultural and nature sites surrounding the Tatra mountains.
Day 1 – arrival, to Bratislava, guided tour of Bratislava, transfer to the countryside, welcome briefing
Day 2 – volunteering – reconstruction works at the castle Uhrovec. In the late afternoon visit of Bojnice castle and old town; visit of Čičmany a village made of wooden log houses with the traditional white ornamentation.
Day 3 – volunteering – reconstruction works at the castle Uhrovec. In the afternoon visit of town Trenčín and the eco-farm Pod Vtáčnikom.
Day 4 – volunteering – reconstruction works at the castle Uhrovec. Outdoor goulash cooking in the evening.
Day 5 – visit of Vlkolinec – outdoor museum of the Slovak village. After Vlkolinec we´ll stop for lunch at salas Krajinka – a traditional restaurant with Slovak rural cuisine. Then we will transfer further to the east to visit ruins of Spis castle. We will overnight in the town of Levoca – a historical medieval town established by the Carpathian German minority. In the evening, we will see a performance with Fujara – a traditional musical instrument of sheep shepherds enlisted on UNESCO intangible heritage list.
Day 6 – transfer to the Slovak Paradise National Park where we’ll do a half day tour of this picturesque nature location. Then we’ll visit Dobsinska ice cave, located at the National Park Slovak Paradise, followed by a short stop at one of the wooden churches in central Slovakia, a heritage from the era of Habsburg monarchy´s confession wars.
Day 7 – We will explore a real gem – a cozy old town of Banska Stiavnica, with a rich mining tradition. In the evening we will arrive to Bratislava. Evening info stroll of the city and a farewell dinner in the old town.
Day 8 – departure.

Art of Wine

An easy trip on which you can really treat yourselves. Over a prolonged weekend you will sample the best of central-European wines. We will explore 4 different wine regions in 4 different countries. If you never heard of central-European price-winning wines yet, it is the right time to open up to this part of the world. Come and indulge your senses in the wine region where wine has been produced since the time of Celtic tribes.

Day 1 – arrival day, welcome meeting, guided tour of Bratislava old town, welcome dinner.
Day 2 – transfer to the Small Carpathian Wine region in Slovakia. Visit of a Ceramics workshop and a guided tour of the chateau Cerveny kamen.
Wine degustation in the town of Modra. Lunch at Modra.
Transfer to the South-Moravian Wine region in the Czech Republic. Guided tour of the Lednice castle, enlisted on the UNESCO world heritage list.
Wine degustation in Lednice.
Return to Bratislava in the evening hours.
Day 3 – transfer to Pannonhalma wine region in Hungary. Visit of Pannonhalma Archabbey. Transfer to Gyor and info stroll of Gyor. Lunch and wine degustation in Gyor.
Transfer to picturesque Wachau valley in Austria. Wine degustation in Wachau valley.
Return to Bratislava. Farewell dinner.
